Detailed itinerary – 6 Days Best of Uganda safari
Day 1: Entebbe/Kampala – Queen Elizabeth National Park to begin your 6 Days Best of Uganda safari
Pick up point will be in Entebbe city or Kampala depending on where you had the previous night. Early in the morning, expect to meet your Uganda tour guide for briefing. Afterwards, board a full-time 4×4 rental safari car ready to begin 7-8 hours’ journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda.
Getting to Queen Elizabeth National Park is possible on Kampala via Fort Portal to Kasese or Kampala via Mbarara-Bushenyi route (this is the route that allows you make a stopover at Equator crossing at Kayabwe).
Expect to have lunch en-route and you will later proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving late in the afternoon to check in at the lodge. Relax, feel the cool breeze of the wilderness, fresh air and dine, spend a night at pre-booked lodge.

Day 2: Game drive Kasenyi track & evening launch/boat cruise Kazinga
After the morning breakfast, exit the lodge facility for 6:00am game drive via Kasenyi Plains/track about 2-3 hours. In a 4×4 Uganda safari vehicle with pop up, expect excellent sightings of Queen Elizabeth National Park such as lions, spotted hyenas, cape buffaloes, bush elephants, warthogs, leopards, birds and large population of antelope families. Return from game viewing, enjoy lunch and have some relaxation at the lodge.
In the afternoon, a boat cruise starting at 2:00pm in a comfortable boat for 2-3 hours of exploring Kazinga channel. This is a 40kms channel that links Lake George and Lake Edward. Expected aquatic life sightings on a boat cruise: hippos, Nile crocodiles, birds and plenty of other animals like elephants, buffaloes, etc.

Lunch in the wild and you proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to check in at the lodge, enjoy fresh air of the forest, dine and overnight stay.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking Bwindi National Park
The 4th day will be spent enjoying a thrilling Uganda gorilla trekking to see mountain gorillas that make Bwindi Impenetrable National Park a popular park. Registration and briefing at park offices with park officials and after, go visit the allocated gorilla family – a trek likely to last 2-6 hours.
When you come across a gorilla group, pack your stuff aside or the porter can assist you keep them safe. Enjoy a complete one hour of close encounter, but at a distance of 8-10m away for safety purposes of these apes from infectious diseases. Take as many pictures as you, keenly listen to your park guide as he or she gives every detail on how mountain gorillas behave and watch as he interprets the body gestures of these apes.
Get back from the jungles, get your gorilla trekking certificate, leave comment/feedback and proceed to the lodge for evening relaxation. Late in the evening, you may also visit the Batwa, the original keepers of Bwindi Forest and expect incredible dances, music performance, deep learning about their lifestyles, traditions, cultures, etc.
