Gorilla habituation will be enjoyed in the lush Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a designated UNESCO Site. At Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, head to Rushaga region the southern area, a region with the highest concentration of gorilla families. This park protects a total of 459 endangered mountain gorillas, 350 species of birds, and many plant species. This fly-in gorilla safari begins and ends in Entebbe International Airport (EBB).

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Travel by air to Kihihi/Kisoro, drive to Bwindi
Entebbe International Airport (EBB) is where you will take your flight to Kisoro/Kihihi airstrip; each airstrip conveniently located allowing you to explore Bwindi Impenetrable NP. The target being gorilla habituation experience, you will get to Kisoro airstrip which is close to the Southern sectors of Bwindi including Rushaga region.
Rushaga sector is where your next day’s full day gorilla habituation experience will begin from. At Rushaga, there are lots of gorilla families to explore including Rwigi, Mishaya, Nshongi, Bikingi, Bweza, Mucunguzi, Kahungye, Kutu, Busingye and more.
Day 2: Full day gorilla habituation
A delicious breakfast early morning and after, head off to Rushaga region to meet Uganda Wildlife Authority’s official for briefing. After, start your immersion into the wild in search of gorillas with experienced park trackers and other researchers. Today, the main experience includes following the semi-habituated family in order to make them get used to human presence, and so take close observation of how these apes behave right from the morning hours till they make new nests for a night.
It will be a long strenuous day and therefore consider having some energy boosters/snacks, enough bottled water, and walking stick. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed inside the natural forest and you will get back for a leisurely dinner, relaxation and a night stay.
Day 3: Fly back to Entebbe airport from Kisoro/Kihihi airstrip
Set off from your respective lodges after a leisurely breakfast. Connect by road to Kisoro or Kihihi airstrip and fly back to Entebbe Airport. You may proceed with your departure flight or transfer to the hotel for relaxation.
